Typographic Printing Program
Abstract Kilometers
As part of my time at the Typographic Printing Program under Dafi Kühne’s instruction in Switzerland I made a poster for an event titled “Abstract Kilometers.”
It is an exhibition run by the Swiss railway system SBB at the Näfels-Mollis train station. The exhibition consists of multiple artist’s murals and other installations on fast moving trains.
The idea of the reflective paper is to mimic that of movement and the steel tracks. The type is bold to reflect the idea of the abstract murals on these trains. The typographic treatment is meant to tie everything all together incorporating movement, speed and motion.
This workshop was something that I will never forget and am so grateful to all the people that I met during it. I know I will stay in touch with these people and look forward to the future!
